Ceriale Liguria

Ceriale, Liguria

Ceriale is a charming town on the Riviera delle Palme, on the Ligurian Sea, located a few kilometers from Albenga and Alassio.

Between the plains and the hills our country encompasses to the west the oldest area with its typical alleys called “carruggi“, the defense Bastion square, private and free beaches but with essential services, many bars and restaurants.

The position far from the surrounding mountains makes it one of the sunniest villages in Liguria even in the winter season.

The Rio Torsero Reserve is a world-renowned protected area located in the immediate hinterland of Ceriale, and owes its fame to a very rich concentration of primordial fossils with an excellent state of conservation. In Peagna, a hamlet of Ceriale, a few hundred meters from the sea, there is the “Silvio Lai” museum which houses a collection of fossils found precisely in the Rio Torsero Regional Reserve, along with some research and teaching equipment.

Always a short distance from the sea you can find the Le Caravelle water park, a popular destination for children and teenagers of all ages, with slides, swimming pools, children’s games, acquadance, beach volleyball, music and small entertainment shows.
